This trend reflects a broader demand for rural properties as buyers seek more tranquil living environments, especially following the pandemic. The local market has seen particular interest in traditional Alentejo homes, with well-preserved properties sometimes selling for as much as €200,000, while smaller, less renovated houses can still be found in the range of €100,000 to €150,000. Additionally, land intended for new construction has become scarcer, leading to increased competition, which further drives up prices.
