An 12th century church at its centre is an historical monument, and is just 50m from the house. Its a very typical village of this area; most houses are of a rural type with pointed stone walls, beige and yellow renders and pretty green and turquoise shutters.In 2008 the house was just a ruin with 4 walls and no roof. Over the years its been renovated to a very high standard by myself, a English builder of 35 years.The building was opened up to make bright modern living spaces. The whole house is a great mixture of the old and new - some of the original stone features have been kept, and then mixed with modern day amenities.The front of the house is south facing, and gets the sun all day.
